Nex-Tech Aerospace to close its machine shop located in Dallas in 2011.

Wichita, KS – Nex-Tech Aerospace CEO, Tom Gibbons, announced in Town Hall Meetings held at NTA’s Wichita facilities (Nex-Tech Aerospace Wichita and Nex-Tech Processing) that the company has made the decision to close its Dallas AIM facility by the end of first quarter 2011.

“This was a very difficult decision for us to to make,” said Gibbons. “However we must look at this as an opportunity for our company to become more efficient in our operations and customer service.”

NTA will transition the work at the Dallas facility to its machine shops located in St. Louis and Wichita.

The NTA Dallas machine shop has struggled to recover from the economic downturn. The majority of the facility’s contracts were general aviation OEM’s and production schedules have not returned to pre-downturn levels.
